As a Christian and an American, my heart is broken and I am outraged.

A couple was murdered the other night in Washington, D.C., not because of anything they did, but simply because of their faith.

Let me say that again: They were targeted and killed on American soil, in our nation's capital, because they were Jewish.

This was an act of terrorism. And it is the natural consequence of allowing leftist ideologies to fester, ideologies that breed hatred, justify violence, and demonize people of faith.

As a follower of Christ, I stand firmly with the Jewish people. My faith and my parents taught me to speak up and to confront evil.

This hatred must be treated like the cancer it is. It must be cut out of our society, immediately if not sooner.

America must never become a place where our Jewish brothers and sisters are hunted in the streets while those in power look the other way. I will not look away. I will not be silent.

Let me be clear: these terrorists have operated with impunity for too long. They must be shut down.
