ICYMI: Illinois Democrats introduced legislation last month that will end Illinois’ flat income tax and replace it with a progressive tax. This new tax structure would impose taxes on retirees and others. The Progressive tax would add a new tax burden on retirees who currently do not pay an Illinois tax on retirement income. ( 401(k)s, IRAs, Social Security and pensions).

Even though Illinois voters vigorously rejected JB Pritzker's plan to institute this tax a few years ago, Democrat lawmaker State Rep Natalie A. Manley introduced HJRCA0021 - 104th General Assembly (2025-2026).

Does Illinois need the money? A: No!

Illinois has collected $54 billion in 2025, this amounts to a 35% increase since 2020 courtesy of Illinois Democrats and Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s administration.

Now, I gotta ask:  Where are all the statements from the bishops offering compassion and sympathy to the Americans who have been victims of the illegals?

Where are the statements expressing condolences for the Americans killed by illegals?

And where is their apology for aiding and abetting the flow of illegals into the United States during the Biden Administration?
